"For quite some time, I thought Sponge had broken up. Their first two albums blew me away, and I always hoped they would release another one. Their latest, New Pop Sunday, definitely lived up to my expectations. I am a huge Sponge fan. This album is full of rock radio-worthy hits like Live Here Without You, 1000 Times, and My Lackluster Love. I find myself signing these songs all day long. The lyrics and choruses are so catchy that I can't get them out of my head! I strongly suggest you buy New Pop Sunday by Sponge!"

"I was a hesitant to buy this album after the relatively disappointing Wax Ecstatic (I Am Anastasia is awesome though). After downloading an acoustic version of "Live Here Without You" off of Napster I immediately ordered the cd without previewing any of the songs. This album was definitely worth it! It completely rocks. It's one of the few cds I let play through without skipping any songs. If you are reading this now and have been thinking about ordering this cd, but haven't yet - what are you waiting for? I would have paid full price for "Live Here Without You" and "10000 Times" alone. I definitely recommend this album."
The Return of King Dombroski and Co.

"I will have to be honest: when I first gave this one a listen, I was disappointed. I am a HUGE Sponge fan, and I think the first two records were phenomenal. I was in no way let down by Wax Ecstatic, and I still believe and will always believe Rotting Pinata is an American classic. New Pop Sunday did let me down at first, but a few more listens revealed an intriguing, tight album. The two vintage Sponge classics off of New Pop Sunday are "Pollyanna" and "Lucky", but the other tracks are nothing short of great. And after New Pop Sunday, I learned a valuable lesson: a disappointment from Sponge still kicks the hell out of your standard record. Side note: Dombroski's voice still haunts me every day. Great voice and the best band the US has to offer."

"I first heard Sponge on a radio concert with Collective Soul. Given that I was already a HUGE CS fan, it's no surprise I liked Sponge. Their new album really does mix all the best of 70s rock, alt-rock, and modern (dare I say techno?) rock. Great drums, guitars, singing...It's the type of CD you hope it will be when you stick it in the player that first time. Each song grabs you, and none let you down. If you like Collective Soul, Better Than Ezra, Tragically Hip, etc. you'll love this CD too. (By the way- check out Cool For August too. It's even better!)"
Lost gem re discover

"Get this album, I most recently was going over my cd collection and just rediscover this lost classic. Cool tracks to listen are "1000 times and Radio prayer line". This is a cd that will grow onto you. My guess is why this cd never made it big was there was no room for rock airplay on the radio at the time due to all the over expose boy bands and pop stuff. Hey what a classic album title to go with that period."
