"Monastic Echoes" features John White?s "The Canonical Hours", a work that uses Medieval Latin poems to illuminate the eight hours of the liturgical day. Alternating with the movements of "The Canonical Hours" are the "Te lucis ante terminum" plainchants from the evening service of Vespers, performed by the women of the choir. Terry Schlenker?s "Timor et Tremor" and Craig Carnahan?s "Thou Shalt Know Him" complete this beautiful recording.
