"This was the Standells last album. It is arguably their best album ever, despite it's schizoid nature. The tracks were taken from various recording sessions, and there isn't a consistant sound throughout the album. What I mean by that is, while most of the tracks feature the "classic" Standells garage punk sound, there are a handful of tracks that attempt to re-invent the band as a "blue eyed soul" group (with mixed results). Surprisingly, the album actually holds together pretty well. There are some of the Standells best recordings here, including "Can't Help But Love You", "Try It", "Barracuda", "All Fall Down" and "Riot on Sunset Strip". The original ten track album is supplemented by five bonus tracks on the CD. They include: a song from the Riot on Sunset Strip soundtrack, an alternate vocal take of "Try It", both sides of the group's last single, and an unreleased song from their last recording session. Fans of '60s garage punk should dig this CD."
