"Star Pimp is a truely unique band, while the music is raw, the vocal quality of the female vocalist provides a tension, reminisent of Tori Spelling on crack. I like to tie my slef up an listen to "Slave Girl" on repeat while I watch the Beverly Hills 90210 marathon."

"This cd is a fantastic trip of sounds and words. Start Pimp quickly became one of my favorite bands after a friend turned me on to the Treasure Trails disc. Tasty visual vocals, deep and pummeling rythm and some of the coolest disjointed looping guitar work to sting my ears. This is a truly original band, making comparisons only makes it harder. I could say that it has tones of Painteens, [...] Surfers and Scratch Acid, I could say that it smells like old-school sonic youth but with more flavor and truth, I could say that it's "swamp-adelic" with crusty bits and pieces disengaging from the mother ship, I could say I've head this wispered through the sink drain pipe while staring blankly into the mirror as the wallpaper changed patterns. But I won't, I'll just say that this is more original than most music you'll hear, and each listen sucks you in father with alternating favorites.

ps - played a show with them once in LA (I was in a band called Scar Crow), super nice people, Grotke (guitarist) was putting his guitar together, one whammy bar in front and one attached to the back which he played with his hip to get double octave bends, amazing!!!!!!!!!!!"
