CD ReviewsLost in the 70's Chris Kaiser | The comfort of home | 01/18/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "Starz should have made it big back in the day. They have some of the best hard rock I have heard and it is a shame that they were dismissed and so underrated." Hands down, one of the best bands of the 70s Chris Kaiser | 12/17/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "The true un-sung two guitar band of the 70s. It can be debated, but Starz will always be, one of the best pomp, hard rocking acts of the 1970s. Ritchie Ranno and Brendon Harken to this day are two of my favorite guitarists. Michael Lee Smith, and amazing vocalist. Just great well writtne material, funny, satirical and in your face. Some songs even had a deep message for this time period. Coliseum Rock, is my favorite out of the 4. From beginning to end, every song is excellent. After you pick this up, go backwards in time and you will fall in love with the rest of their music. Violation should be next on your list, then Shoppers then Starz. And they were phenominal live. So, I know they are still touring here and there, when they come to your town, GO SEE THEM!"
