"With how many Steely Dan compilation albums are out there my question is, "Who's buying this stuff?" A fan who is definitely interested in The Dan is better off using their money on Citizen Steely Dan: 1972-1980 than wasting it on this disc. That way one gets ALL of the classic Dan with no filler whatsoever, much less suffering the self-doubt if they got the right "greatest hits" compilation."
Yeah, you got me

"I saw this CD at my local B&N for like $7.99 so I jumped on it. I am a Steely Dan fan from way back and I already have most, if not all, of these recordings somewhere in my collection. I suppose it's nice to have them in one place though...I suppose.
I gave it 5 starts because, after all, it is Steely Dan! Just make sure you don't already have these songs before you buy it."
Great for the newbie Steely fan

"this is a cool place to start for the newbie Steely Dan fan as it gives you a taste of there versatility. but of course if you get serious with the Dan then you gotta get the box set which covers all the bases. nobody writes like these cats. and there Hybrid sound is truly out of this world still."
Who picked these songs?......

"This has to be the worst SD best of I've ever seen. Don't know who made the selections on this CD, but any of the other ones out there are much better. Save your money here.
