"With a golden voice and exquisite artistry, Steve Green has given the world a masterful collection of songs with this CD; it is one of the best contemporary Christian music albums I have heard, with lovely melodies and uplifting lyrics.
Steve co-wrote "I Will Go", and the tender "Holding Hands", about God's daily grace in a good marriage; all eleven songs are strong, with my favorite being "Thread of Scarlet", written by Wes King, who plays classical guitar in the first version on track # 2, and it is given a fuller treatment in the short reprise on track # 11.
Overall, the songs are serene and soft ballads, with the exception of the upbeat "If We Answer", the gospel flavored "Grace and Nothing More" which builds to a mighty conclusion, and the traditional "Non Nobis Nomine", where Steve unleashes the power and range of his voice. The arrangements and musicianship are excellent throughout, and the booklet insert contains all the lyrics. Total time is 48'28.With his beautiful voice and good looks, Steve could have been a pop icon, but chose to use his talents as a ministry instead, and in his prolific recording career (in Spanish as well as English) of nearly 20 years, this CD released in 2002 is a treasure, and is sure to fill your heart and bless your soul."
A new clasic

"As usual, he has created another clasic. It is the best CD he has put out in recent years. The words to his songs are profound and express what many chistians have experienced. Only the truly committed could sing some of these songs. Worth every penny."
Inspiring Christian devotionals

"I'm not really familiar with Contemporary Christian as I think this genre is called, but Woven In Time is a most enjoyable work. The first three songs are all slow ballads: Pleasures Of The King has prominent guitars and strings, Thread Of Scarlet classical guitar and strings and God Of Wonders lovely keyboard flourishes.
The tempo picks up for the structurally complex rock ballad If We Answer with its moving lyrics, whilst I Will Go is more like a traditional hymn and Sacrifice Of Praise has a Celtic flavour with exotic instruments like bouzouki, penny whistle and Uillean pipes. This one has a very immediate melody and the most ecstatic feel. Green's voice really soars here, this is definitely my favourite on the album!
There is a soulful feel to Grace And Nothing More with its gospel vocals framed by organ touches. From gospel to country with Oh Pilgrim Come that is embellished with dobro, fiddle and mandolin. Another tuneful number in a pop vein is titled Whatever It Takes, and the album concludes with his rendition of Non Nobis Domine (Psalm 115:1).
There is an impressive variety of styles on display, the music is tuneful and the lyrics poetic. The songs I enjoy most include Pleasures Of The King, Sacrifice Of Praise, Oh Pilgrim Come and Whatever It Takes. Woven In time is a most inspiring album of devotional music. At times it reminds me of The Waterboys, at other moments a little bit of Van Morrison. The CD booklet contains all the lyrics and quotes from CS Lewis, John Piper and Ravi Zacharias.
