"The amazing base line with beautifully composed music. All players got beutifully together. I am very sure this will be a copy that you will listen over and over again. They definitely do not sound like "beginners" but skillfull, and yet there is one fresh biginners mind - SHOSHIN - when you try things for first time - is there. Beautiful."

"What an evocative journey listening to this cd was. I often felt very...orange. The ballads are contemplative, but not to the point of self-indulgence, while the up-tempo numbers are demonstrative of a kind of precociousness that borders on being capricious, though never arbitrary. Haines is destined to make his name as familiar in the jazz home as the underwear brand that is his namesakeThe piano player freaks out all over the keys. His convention of adapting the melody in the left hand while executing extended arpegiated meilissmatic passages in his right is as impressive as it is acrobatic, and continually arresting.Drummer Tom Taylor gives an exhibition in dexterity that can best be described by invoking his stage name - Swing-o-matic. (A far cry from his early days as the groove-assasin drummer for the punk band "Stained Velvet".)Dave the sax player is really great. I highly recommend this album. Highly, highly, highly."
