CD ReviewsMuch Better Than It's Cracked Up To Me ! Brien Comerford | Glenview, Illinois United States | 06/09/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "" The Slow Crack" is the title of a Steve Kilbey CD that is instantly enjoyable. It's loaded with great songs including "Fireman", "Woman With Reason", "This Asphalt Eden" and the dramatic "Like a Ghost". Steve Kilbey is the exemplary and multi-talented lead singer of the Church. His solo CD's are haunting, solacing, spiritual and surreal. "The Slow Crack" would apeal to music fans who like Pink Floyd's early music and any of Stan Ridgeway's CD's. Kilbey is a master of pschedelic music that emanates from mystical origins. He's also a great painter, poet, writer and blogger. His "The Time Being" blog is a must read."
