Album DescriptionOne Step At A Time is the first solo CD from noted engineer, producer and composer Steve La Cerra. Steve, known by many in the audio industry as Senior Editor of EQ Magazine, composed, produced, engineered, and arranged the entire disc, while also playing drums, keyboards and guitar. Those who know Steve as a member of the hard rock band Dagger may be surprised to hear that his new album would be categorized as New Age, but this is unlike any New Age music that has come before. The use of live drums and jazz influences make One Step At A Time "New Age with Attitude," or, as one musician/listener put it, What New Age would sound like if it were done by Metallica. The difference between traditional New Age and One Step can easily be heard in the albums first single release, Adirondack Sunrise -- a power instrumental that clearly creates images of the tale that inspired it -- Phil Siglers walk across the United States (whose story is chronicled in a book of the same name). Steve has been influenced by such diverse artists as Van Halen, Haydn, Beethoven, and Pink Floyd, and has worked professionally with Joe Jackson, Blue yster Cult, Michael Brecker, Robert Fripp, and Alan Parsons. So when you listen to One Step At A Time, get ready to hear something unlike anything youve experienced before.
