"Steve Laury was the lead guitar player for the contemporary jazz group, Fattburger, until 1991. Keeping the Faith is Steve's second solo release. Steve's primary musical influence was Wes Montgomery, and you can hear his influence in Laury's playing. Steve is a very religious fellow, having survived a rare form of cancer several years ago. This CD was produced while he was fighting the big C. Ron Satterfield, of the group Checkfiled, plays piano and vocalizes on this CD. It's a must buy for any fan of contemporary jazz"

"Vibrant, joyful, pulsating and inspiring. This is a must have for anyone wanting to get into contemporary jazz. All the songs are full of life and soul. I can put this CD on shuffle play and jam all day and night long. This is one of the CD's that have inspired me to learn guitar. ;) If "smooth jazz" was as well crafted and performed as this, it would have never ended up as background music. :-/"

"Here is an awesome display of the talent that made Laury, and Fattburger so successful, while the song titles testify from where his talent comes. Very relaxing, soothing, and great for repeated listening"
One Of The Best Jazz Guitar Albums

"Steve Laury keeps his own Fattburger - style in this album. He plays his own style on a Gibson guitar. Steve Laury is considered as one of the best jazz guitarrists (Jazziz, Smooth Jazz Magazine,Just Jazz Guitar Magazine, Gavin Magazine, etc.) and this album is a fine contemporary jazz album, which should not be missing in a good jazz collection, specially in a good jazz guitar collection."

"I just wanna say that Steve is pure genius. I didn't hear anything from FATBURGERS, but now I don't expect that anymore. KEEPIN' THE FAITH was an excellent signal to show that PASSION would be more successful, which made me see it as a must have for people who love him-people who love guitar."
