"As far as I can tell this is the only jazz (as opposed to jazz-rock) CD of the late Steve Marcus in a small group setting. He is a veteran player who sounds like he has come to this music after a long hiatus, because his playing sounds fresh, and exciting.

For a straight-ahead, no-holds-barred treatment of these modern jazz standards, this is one out of the bag!"
