"I've been a huge fan for years since I first bought his "Live at the Algonquin." The songs on this CD are beautiful and fun and Steve knows how to put them across. No wonder other famous performers love him. He IS caberet. Believe me, he was the forerunner for Michael Feinstein, whom I also admire. Both men are great singers and pianists.
If you've ever sat in a small club in a big town and there was a great singer/pianist performing there (in the dark with pink lights, sometimes red, sometimes blue), who sat at a piano and sang "da classics," then you'll love Steve Ross. People like Liza Minnelli and countless other luminaries wouldn't DARE miss Steve Ross. It's like going to see Bobby Short or Mabel Mercer. And, he's still performing!"
