"I am not gonna bore you with my tales of Mudhoney fandom, but basically I have been an avid fan of their work for years. Like Sonic Youth, they are one of the only true modern day Punk Bands.



After enjoying Bloodloss and Monkeywrench, I was pleased to hear Steve was releasing a solo album. I have not been dissapointed.



Some would call this folk, but I am not a big fan of genre definition, to me this is just a cd that shows a great songwriter. After a career of the Superfuzz Bigmuff guitar approach, we finally get a stripped back, largely acousitc tracks. The key to this music being so good is its honesty. Nothing is forced. You can tell that Steve lived these songs.



Not a weak track on this album. Like all good folk music, these songs tell a story. A great rainy day soundtrack.



I can't praise this album enough. If only more people put effort into there music listening, Steve may actually make an impact in the commercial world.



My advice, buy all his stuff. It all rules."
