Late in 1960 at Norman Petty's Clovis Studio They Slipped on the Instrumental Persona of the String-a-longs Like a Second Coat, with Petty Cutting and Shaping their Material as Would ... more »a Master Tailor. However They Had Started Out at the Beginning of 1959 as the Leen Teens, a Sharp Teen-rock Band Performing Vocals in a Style Much Influenced by Buddy Holly and Informed by Rockabilly Generally. That Line-up Recorded Many Excellent Vocal Tracks which were Released at Various Times under Different Names: Micky Boyd and the Plain Viewers, Bryan Keith and Brian Keith (Aliases for Keith Mccormack), the Leen Teens Or as B-sides to the String-a-longs' First Instrumental Releases.
