Beethoven for old timers

"I have listened to (many times) and own the complete Talich Set of Beethoven Quartets. It's an overall excellent package from both playing and recording stand points. If you are looking for razor sharp recording and pin point precise playing, this is not it. But if you are longing for the old time tube like analog sound and want to know that Beethoven is also a human that he actually has emotions, do give this set a try. This is by no means the only set of Beethoven complete quartets you should collect. But it definitely should be one of the sets you want to have if you plan to collect more than 1 recordings for these masterpieces."
