"The group Strings really does put the listener in a "Tropical Mood" with this CD. They say the third time is the charm and I find that this third effort of Strings really does charm the listener. Unlike other Haitian groups, Strings gives the world over a different view of Haitian music---devoid of language barriers, stereotypical modern "plastic" sound, and political statements. Bravo Strings! With each album you produce it just keeps getting better and better! You represent Haiti well and for that we thank you also!"
Delicious Strings!

"I first heard Strings' "Tropical Mood" in Yarmouth, Maine, of all places (in an independent bookstore). I liked it so much I asked about it and the exceptionally nice staff member to whom the cassette belonged GAVE it to me. I treasured the gift and set out on a quest to purchase a CD (tracked down Strings' distributor in Miami). When I got the CD, I sent the cassette back to Yarmouth with many thanks.
Enough back-story: the music is wondeful and moves from light to dark mood and back again. The songs have a similar sound/feel, but each is an individual, as well, and I can listen to "Tropical Mood" over and over again. It conjures everything from rain on plantation shutters to the heartbeat of Haiti itself..."
