"Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues is hands down one of the monolith albums of punk rock. I honestly can't think of a better album to represent the new school punk movement. This album has it all: Machine-gun drums, dueling guitars leads and power chord bliss, aggressive bass playing, and an in-your-face singer with more melodies than Top40 radio. There's absolutely no weak song on the album, and with this album, Strung Out has without a doubt set the standard for all other melodic-hardcore outfits."

"I really am speechless, ..Wasteland Blues is beyond words, it is to great. With a sound unlike anything I have ever heard ..wasteland Blues packs a mean punch, mixing Punk-rock with speed metal and creating a sound which makes you drool. Although, this album tends to lead more towards the punk-rock sound (which isn't a bad thing at all) than there furture releases, this is one of Strung out's best releases to date. Fast, melodic, and very talented ...Wasteland blues should be picked up if ever spotted."

"I'm stoked to see that everyone else gives this 5 stars. 33 PERFECT reviews what else can you say? This is my favorite album of all time. While part of the reason might be the stage of life I was in when I first heard it and the memories it evoked, I am still able to listen to it today and enjoy it just as much. This is a prototype for what good punk music should be. So much talent here that it's hard to describe. The fast, thrashing guitars are able to mix perfectly with melody. Obviously there isn't even close to a bad song but my favorite is "Solitaire". Strung out is by far the most underestimated band around and people who write this off as 'same old stuff' should be shot. This is the best!"

"While I love Twisted by Design and American Paradox, I always come back to this album when I think of the best work that Strung Out has to offer. This is the album that made this band. Another Day in Paradise and The Skinny Years ... were good, but sound like crap when compared to this album. I've been a punk-rocker since I was pre-teen, I've gone to shows and played in shows, and I will tell you from experience that this is what every punk band wants to sound like. Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues sounds so good you could die without having heard another punk album and be satisfied. Enough said."
A Great Punk Album

"Being a pretty hardcore Strung Out fan, I was first introduced to their latest album, "Exile in Oblivion". I fell in love with the vocal stylings and mix of metal and punk in this group. After snatching up more of their older albums, I purchased "Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues" and was not at all disappointed. This record is fast, edgy, and as raw as good punk gets. It's a shining example of California punk back in the mid nineties. Favorite tracks include Firecracker, Solitaire, Gearbox, Monster, Bring Out Your Dead, Somnombalance, and Wrong Side of the Tracks (THE best track on the album I think). Any fan of punk rock should make a place in their collection for STWB."
