CD ReviewsSTUFF MEMORIES ! Poul Achton | Lyngby,DENMARK | 07/30/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "Having read all he reviews above,I would like to add some NEWS and some comments ! First of all,the GREAT NEWS,which probably all have seen by now : As of July 15, STUFF:LIVE IN MONTREUX 1976 have been released, both as CD and DVD ! that is a miracle for a dedicated STUFF and RICHARD TEE disciple like myself ! awaiting the package from AMAZON containing both products.....what a thrill ! and the SNL season 2 1976-77 has also been released on DVD,containing the particular show mentioned above - hosted by Eric Idle with JOE COCKER and STUFF (in their own name) as musical guests....including the hilarious duet with Joe Cocker and John Belushi singing and getting spasms like Joe Cocker.
But - speaking of Joe Cocker : If You DO like STUFF,do whatever You can to get hold of the album, that brought them together : JOE COCKER : STINGRAY . They recorded it in 1976 in Jamaica (right before Stuff recorded their debut album) - and it is super STUFF ! it is very rare on CD - but it is pure gold...the best Joe Cocker ever,in my opinion ! I did an interview with Richard Tee in 1990,and he told me,how they recorded this during some weekends in Jamaica, but at the same time,he and Steve Gadd had to fly back and forth, because they were on tour with PAUL SIMON in the States in that same period ! but the result,my friends....look for STINGRAY with JOE COCKER,backed by STUFF....You will love it !!!
