"I grew up listening to country music, and a lot of the current, slick stuff doesn't move me very much. This album does. It's got a much more genuine feel, and the artists aren't afraid to flirt with a variety of sounds. Some songs, like "Wayward Angel," "Unsafe Heart" and "These Four Walls" veer close to folk, with great homespun harmonies. Others are more playful -- I love "My Favorite Word for Broken Heart is You." They even take a turn at a cocktail-jazz novelty in "Let's Talk About Us."



In other words, one category doesn't describe this album. It isn't "just like" anyone you've heard before (though if you like Dwight Yoakam or Gram Parsons, you're in the ballpark). Give it a listen and you won't be disappointed!"
