SUBURBAN MUTILATION (also know as `SUM') was a band that started up in 1981 in Green Bay, WI and lasted until 1985. In that time it ended up being one of the first hardcore bands in Wisconsin; played a whole lot of shows (with bands like DEAD KENNEDYS, DIE KREUZEN , DEPRO PROVERA, HUSKER DU, SACRED ORDER, CLIT BOYS, MECHT MENSCH, TENSE EXPERTS, VERBAL ABUSE and many more); put out demos ; were on a lot of classic early -mid 80's comps (Charred Remains, Barricaded Suspects, America's Dairyland, Birth Defect, Code Blue and more) and ultimately, this full length. When it originally was put out it was limited to two pressings of 500 (one in 1984 and the next in 1985). Original copies are sought after by collectors and will fetch quit a high price. No need to worry about spending your whole paycheck on one copy anymore! We're proud to bring you the first authorized, full-blown reissue of this classic hardcore full length. The LP (a `Record Store Day 2014' release limited to 1000 on red vinyl and then after that 1000 on black vinyl) contains the original 17 tracks of fast early 80's hardcore plus the original layout. The CD not only has the original full length but also another 30 bonus tracks (some never even heard before) from 1981-1984 and includes a 16- page booklet containing lyrics, show flyers, photos and liner notes by REV. NORB telling the story of the band from the start till the very end. To top it all off, all songs have been completely re-mastered so this will be louder and cleaner and have a lot more detail then the original.
