CD Reviews

5 Star Material,5 Star Execution,5 Stars for balls to do it

"I bought Suicidal Tendencies self titled debut when it first came out and way blown away by the band's intensity and musicianship. When I first heard that Cyco Miko and the boys were planning on re-recording this classic, I was skeptical (to say the least). I'm what you would call a metal/punk purist. However, Still Cyco After all These Years upholds the mighty tradition of Suicidal Tendencies and even strengthens their legacy as punk metal pioneers. I applaude Mike Muir for having the foresight and the balls to re-record these classics...and I do mean CLASSICS. Just look at the track listings: Institutionalized, I Shot the Devil, Subliminal, Two-Sided Politics, I Saw Your Mommy...the list goes on and on. This album just takes a tighter, faster Suicidal unit and does these songs even faster and better. For production values alone, this version completely shines over their classic debut. Overall, Still Cyco is a strong buy for any metal/punk fan but an absolute must-own for ST fans. Highly Recommended."

"Well lets just say that it became kinda hard to listen to this cd because of Mike's new voice. It didnt really cut it for this one. He really screwed up songs like I Saw Your Mommy and others. I think they did this because they didnt have that much access to the first album. I would only buy it if you're a huge ST fan"
