Suni Paz ha dedicado su carrera a abrir las mentes de los niños a nuevos idiomas y nuevos sonidos a través de la música. Esta obra incluye dos de sus aclamadas grabaciones de música infantil para el sello Folkways. Alerta Signs presenta canciones caribeñas y latinoamericanas muy fáciles de aprender. Latin American and African American mix

"I have to agree with the Parents Choice reviewer. Suni Paz is one of the most outstanding children's singers--in any language--who's recorded during the last 25 years. Digging deep into the rich Latin American musical tradition, she's recorded a wealth of wonderful material that's perfect for children and infants. Adults will adore her too! Her approach is always soulful and quintessentially musical. However, the performance quality of the African-American songs on this album is not as fine. And that's a shame, when you consider some of the fabulous recordings of these African-American songs that are available! Some years ago, Santillana Publishing company put out a wonderful series of tapes by Suni Paz, which were accompanied by little books that included illustrations and the lyrics to the songs. The series was called "Libros Para Cantar" and it was a gem. Someday, I hope these wonderful recordings and books will be reissued! Meanwhile, you can certainly get a taste of the wonderful Suni Paz on "Alerta Sings.""

These Songs Stir Emotions With Many Cultures

"I am a teacher whose classroom represents a cultural rainbow. Both Hispanic and Black children and parents love these songs and quickly learn them. These songs fit together with Suni's voice and the the accompanying music. On more than one occasion Hispanic and Black American parents have literally been moved to tears remembering their own childhood songs when they hear this music.This CD is highly recommended for all elementary school classrooms."

"My grandkids love this CD. Lindsey is 5 and the twin boys are 7. The boys already speak fluent Spanish and Lindsey wants to keep up with them. When we have this CD on in the SUV, which is usually, they are always singing along, Spanish or English. Besides the above, my wife and I enjoy the CD. Suni Paz truely is wonderful. A must have for kids from 2 to 62. The later being me. Don't miss out on purchasing this on Amazon, as I noticed it was not that easy to find else where on the net. Every place seems to be sold out."
