"though i fear none will read this due to their non-promotion here. i was lucky enough to read about them at not lame records. the review was glowing, so i bought it. though 100% different than i expected, i was mesmerized from the first listen. this is really an album you can listen to the whole thing ( i don't listen to the slow song though, i love you guys don't be mad at me) other than that one track, this is a dizzy, pop fueled explosion from start to finish.
i explained them as having that rawk side, like the hives, but it's not as abrasive as those guys, the production is so huge that it's silly, with headphones you get the big picture of the quality of the production. it manages to sound clean and crisp, but rough and worn, full of 60's/70's/80's pop appeal, but with a loudness that kind of reminds you of the spirit that those before them exuded, out of control but melodic.
check out the grass show"something smells good in stinkville" killer album with some wonderful songs, the song "out of the void" is so great that you can't believe it, so infectious that you take cold medication before you listen to it. and eggstone"sumersault" wonderful album with like 5 stunning songs, the song "dog" or "the dog" is so incredible in its manic song change chorus that you fear of exploding in enjoyment, so melodic and soaring that you fear flying away!"
