"OK, I had a hard time buying a superfly soul album that had a pink cover on it, but I thought I'd take a chance. I am glad I did as what you get is two CDs of lesser known but equally powerful blues/soul/funk music as has ever been put out in a compilation! Don't recognize some/most of the artists? Neither did I, but don't let that stop you from buying this 2-disc set, as the brass, bass and vocals on it will have your moving as well as any James Brown song out there. Be wise enough to recognize that you can get big talent outside of the big names, and you will get your money's worth out of this set!"

"This is funk you won't hear on the radio much less find in a dusty record store. Once again, excellent selection of lesser known funk artists that rival, if not exceed musically, any Parliament or James Brown tune. Excellent songs with lots of info in the liner notes about each tune and artist. Do yourself a favor and get this compilation."
