An interesting direction for Supergrass...

"As a series of recordings made during the "10" production period, these jems were created to be a buffer so that there would be some "new material" released before the 2005 release of "Road to Rouen."
While "Kiss of Life" uses a funky, beat-based approach that borders on the fringes of techno inspired material, it is clever and entertaining. The ever-present "Yeah!" that is one of the trademarks of Supergrass is here in abundance. The "Tom Tom Club Remix" is longer with a little less bang for the buck, but still worth a few quid.
"We Dream of This" is, as far as I know, musically "Kiss of Life" written in reverse. I know it sounds wierd, but it is not "Kiss of Life" played in reverse, it was written in reverse, with a much heavier feel throughout the verses. Odd vocal effects and other production tricks round out the sound.
The "Kiss..." video is awesome and includes some crazy camera tricks. Like a Monkees music video on mescaline, it flashes and carries you along to it's final images (of a clown banging his boxing gloves together)... very strange.
Responsible flying shows how (not) to obey the rules and regulations regarding smoking while on a long flight. Pretty funny, but just a few minutes of standard footage.
If you are a collector, don't pass this up. If you are a big fan of Supergrass, but are just as happy listening to "Coco" or "...Money", this may not be your bag. I think it was worth the effort since Supergrass is the only band worth anything in these sorry days of corporate sponsored Top-Ten Mediocrity."
