CD ReviewsUnderrated Jump Blues and Swing Music 08/18/2000 (4 out of 5 stars) "I should actually take that back. Bobby Smith is not underrated...he is an unknown in the world of swing and jump blues. This CD is a must for any Erskine Hawkins or Jimmie Lunceford fan. There are very few musicians that can bring their energy out in a recording. Count Basie and Duke Ellington had that talent. So does Bobby Smith. Great tunes with some beautifully arranged solos and group background singing. The first song has a permanent spot in my playlist for any gig I do. It has energy and life and is well done."
