"Long time fan of James Taylor, but was not familiar with "You can close your eyes". This rendition is superb. The vocals are in your room.
Sounds great in my car and home audiophile system."
Nice CD for babies AND parents

"This is a lovely bunch of songs, well played and sung. The singer has a pretty voice and is singing softly to help your baby fall asleep. It's just voice and guitar or piano, very simple. I find it very soothing, and my daughter loves it. Lately I've started singing along with it since I like the songs so much. This is my favorite of the many lullaby CDs I own."
A beautiful gift

"I have been giving this CD to every new parent I know-they all report back that they love it because it has songs they really like, plus they say it really seems to help their baby fall asleep. I love Susan's voice, too."
Great concept, but

"The choice of songs is inspired. The arrangements and execution of the instrumentation are simply lovely and wonderfully accessible, gentle, and baby-friendly overall. BUT, the vocalist has a noticeable sinus issue, and the recording is so unbalanced that you can barely hear the instruments, only her stuffed nose voice. To be fair, the singer has excellent phrasing, tonality, and warmth, and I can see how the CD made a special gift to a friend. However, it's probably not a good idea to buy because you or the recipient of your gift would have to listen to the voice of a good singer with a sinus infection over and over and over. I'm truly surprised that she didn't redub it giving it better balance and a healthy voice before commercial release."
