"This is one of the finest works by Sutherland Brothers & Quiver and is well worth adding to your collection. This bands collection of music is almost complete on CD all we need now is Down To Earth, When The Night Comes Down and of course there very best work the american release version of Lifeboat."

"In my opinion it is their best album and certainly my favourite. It contains classics like "Secrets" and some other lovely tunes such as "Sweet Cousin", "Midnight Rendezvous" and the instrumental "High Nights"."

"Back in the 70's, while CBS records was pumping cash to hype up Springsteen, they neglected the very talented Sutherlands, thus banishing them so to speak. Oh well, who ever expected something intelligent from a large corporation? This is a wonderful album. The songs for the most part are cheerful excellent pop songs. Any number of them would have made very good singles. The production by the Albert brothers is superb, although I have one criticism. The Albert's faded the reggae Something's Burnin' too soon. Tim Renwicks incredible guitar solos in that song could have and should have gone on for a few more minutes. Renwick is a guitar genius, his solos are melodic and he plays with feeling the way a classical musician plays. I have read that the Sutherland's had weak lyrics - I beg to differ. They were excellent songwriters and tunesmiths. I love Wild Love, If I can have your loving ( a lilting country ballad), and even the disco song Dark Powers and Strange Religions is excellent. There is nothing about this album to dislike. Shortly after Slipstream was released, Tim Renwick made a very capable solo album also (unfortunately) on CBS. Hope that one too will be dragged out of the vaults and reissued on cd. I also need to mention that SB&Q's drummer Willie Wilson is one of the best. Buy this cd if you can."
