Another wonderful CD by Suzanne Ciani. I love them all. Good to buy the piano book and play them also.

A Profound Gift

"Suzanne Ciani has a profound gift as a composer, arranger, and performer. I believe this is her signature work. Her music is quiet, intimate, and deeply moving. She has combined the sweeping majesty of her piano with the classical strings and percussion of the Young Russia Orchestra to produce a symphony that evokes romance, reflection, and rapture. The artist indicates the album is about transitions following a series of significant emotional events in her life. The events have clearly inspired her and appear to have served as the catalyst for her greatest musical achievement. My personal favorite, "Riding Heaven's Wave: Eulogy to a Surfer," is a piece that captures the hope, faith, and renewal that characterizes so much of her work. In contrast, "Sogno Agitato" is a more pensive and introspective work that adds depth and color to the album. This is new age music at its finest!"
A piano and orchestra fantasy

"In this CD, Ciani goes where she has never gone before: piano with the support of a full orchestra. The new songs are fantastic, and the sweeping strings with just the read level of piano in the lead stir the soul to tears. She recorded this CD after her battle with breast cancer, and I think her illness brought out the best in her. A must-have for all Ciani fans. In my opinion, this is her best recording. I play it over and over again and never grow tired of it. You won't find any intrusive synthesizer, just sweeping piano and strings with a classical touch. It shows the deeper and more serious side of a serious artist. Her best work to date! It was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Age Album."
My Favorite Ciani CD

"I first heard 'Andalusian Dream' on a late night edition of Steven Hill's Hearts of Space. I was so moved by it that as soon as the piece was over I immediately called the radio station in an attempt find out the name of the piece and the composer. Ms. Ciani's collaboration with the Young Russia Orchestra is absolutely gorgeous from beginning to end and has a richness to it that I haven't found on any of her other cd's. All of her music is beautiful but I'm hopeful that she will make another cd like this one soon. Dream Suite was my first encounter with Suzanne Ciani and it has made me and my family fans for life. I agree whole-heartedly with the reviewer from Michigan who said that you can listen to this cd over and over again and never tire of it. I know I never do."
Just plain beautiful and relaxing

"I ordered a few of her CD's upon Amazon's recommendation. I had never heard of her but liked the samples. Her CD's are some of my favorites to listen to at bedtime or when traveling for relaxation."
Beautifully done.

"I love this CD. I was looking for soft, easy music for my 6 month old to fall asleep with. I gave this one a chance and I am not disappointed. It is soothing and very relaxing. One of my favorite tracks is "Meeting Mozart". I am now a large Suzanne Ciani fan."
