Amazon.comFans of Nashville hit-maker Suzy Bogguss and those in the market for a well-sung, polite folk-country Christmas album with a light dusting of swing will find Have Yourself... ringing their bells. Others, despite the record's virtues, may find it a bit dull. Bogguss obviously loves the mostly well known holiday tunes here but rarely brings much to them beyond her clean, Ronstadt-like vocal lines. Support includes longtime collaborator and friend Chet Atkins, Ricky Skaggs, and Delbert McClinton (the latter on a remake of "Baby It's Cold Outside"). With a new disc on the horizon, one hopes for more of the spunk Bogguss brought to early-'90s country radio. --Rickey Wright
