"I picked this disc up about 6 months ago. I've always been a fan of Sweet. They embodied, at least until 78' loud, brash and decadent rock n' roll. This 2-CD package is a pretty good all around item. The first CD focuses on studio outtakes, which has some interesting material. I especially like the "Love is like Oxygen" outtake. Its a snapshot of the band creating it. I almost feel I'm at the studio while thier nailing it down. Some of the songs on the first disc are nearly indistinguishible from the studio versions such as "Solid Gold Brass" and "Cockroach." Disc 2 is more of a let down. It alternates between subpar live recordings with those that are obviously studio versions overdubbed with applause. The most glaring examples are "She Gimme Lovin'" and "Midnight to Daylight." I'd recommend this to the diehard Sweet fan. Some of the outtakes and and a few of the live songs make this compilation tasty. Even though the package has its not-so-great moments its still worth it. If your looking to for an introduction to Sweet: get "Desolation Boulevard" or "Give Us a Wink.""
