"In the 1950's Oscar Peterson and Ella Fitzgerald were at the top of their game.Ella a first rate super jazz vocalist and Oscar a new young pianist from Canada taking the jazz world by storm. They toured together in concerts for Norman Granz's Jazz At The Philharmonic.
I was fortunate enough to see this tour at that time, and one of the highlights for me was Ella Fitzgerald's version of 'You Belong To Me' which was a 'hit song' at that time. I bought this CD because the song was included and while the impact of the song was not the same (Ella opened her concert at Symphony Hall at the time) she does it well here.
The CD is worth having, although I think Ella sounds a little tired, but with Oscar's great trio and Ella you can't beat it. Get it for your collection."
