Listen Carefully!

"Whoever thinks "Deep End" is about suicide should really listen carefully to the lyrics. Whoever thinks MadChild doesn't listen to bars should consider that maybe MadChild doesn't give a [damn] and considers that his style. I love Bad Dreams as well as every one of my Swollen CD's. Each MC's style is unique: Prevail is brainy. MadChild uses ancient and fantasy based ideas. Bad Dreams is the cd that you pop into the cd player in your car during a long midnight highway drive. Excellent."

"Swollen Members second album "Bad Dreams" (2001) is a good album. Mad Child and Prevail's lyrics are on point and are enhanced by a variety of impressive production. The beats to this album are dark and excellent for the most part. "Killing Spree" starts things off strong with Swollen Members delivering some solid lyrics backed by an ill fastpaced beat. Evidence and Chali 2na drop in for a four way collabo on "Full Contact", and Swollen bring it back to the basics on "Take It Back" feat. DJ Revoultion. The title track "Bad Dreams" is a memorable eerie grimey sounding cut. Mad Child and Prevail deliver a killer collabration with my favourite track on this album the standout "Deep End" a sick cut to remember. Swollen Members rip over another first class beat on "Anthrax Island" and Swolllen Members wisely leave an addictive instrumental on its own with "Reflection". Son Doobie drops in for the grim "Burns and Scars" and Moka Only makes a good appearance on the single "Fuel Injected". The album closes off powerfully with "High Road" another premium track where Swollen Members reflect on life, the new millennium and much more for over ten minutes. "Bad Dreams" is a quality album that I recommend for the collection."

"Bad Dreams is one of the hottest albums out there! Ok...Not to be rude or anything, but that person that said the song Deep End talks about suicide is WRONG! The song Deep End is talking about Swollen's late night recording rituals. "Working late night, not that we hate light, just feels right, that's when tracks come out tight." Sorry, but how do you get suicide out of that?
I'm a HUGE Swollen Members fan, and this is a must have for any other Swollen fans out there. Swollen Members are themselves, not influenced by a major record label. They still keep their underground vibe, even though they are becoming more and more well known like many mainstream artists.
Like I said, you got to get this album!"
