Synopsis

Album Description
Chris Squire and Steve Nardelli of the legendary pre-Yes prog rockers first met in 1965 at a local battle of the bands. They went on to form 60's psychedelic rock outfit The Syn, and after their split in 1967, Squire went on to form Yes. This release is a double CD charting the history of the band from 1965 to newly recorded material in 2004. It comes with a 16-page booklet charting the band's early history, with an intro by Phil Collins.

CD Reviews

Finally, the Syn's early material is finally available on CD

"I picked up the compilation of the Syn today and I really am hooked on it. If you always wanted to know what the band that was around before Yes came along sounds like, this is your chance now to own this collection. The CD booklet is impressive, telling you about how the Syn was so good in England from 1965 to 1967. The new material on the 2nd disc is also good too and its really good progressive rock at its best. I recommend this CD collection to Yes fans who love the early era of Yes and for people that love 60's psychedelic music. If you love this album, be sure to buy their first true studio album "Syndestructable", its great stuff."

"Great reissue of some very hard to find Syn material, which is great to listen to for its own sake, and also very interesting to consider how influential this band was. Some terrific musicianship here from everyone, and some wonderful vocals by Steve Nardelli.... really enjoy this - "Syndestructible" is also very recommended."
