Don't let this be your first Synergy disk!

"If you want to know the "real" Synergy, choose another disk first - try Audion or Games. "Experiments" is just that - experiments in allowing an artificial intelligence program to write music (circa 1978 - hint, hint). The result is long chords with slow changes and little in the way of melodies. "The World After April" is the closest thing that comes to a realization a'la Larry Fast, but not by much."
Dated & atypical of Synergy recordings

"In fairness, I would say that this CD is as good as many of the ambient CDs that are being produced today. And, it is important to note, this CD was much more significant when first produced than it is now. Computer music is easier to produce now, and so the novelty of this recording is diminished by time. It is also by far the most experimental and the least musical of all of Larry Fast's recordings, all of which are quite good and most of which are less dated than this one."
Enjoyable

"Personally, I like this CD quite a bit. Yes, it's quite long and droney. It certainly drags a bit and I can see how some people would find it totally uninteresting. But I find it to be excellent background music. Or enjoyable to put on headphones with and zone out and follow the tones. Excellent bedtime music."
