"A budget price, no frills but loads of thrills compilation with all the hits. What more could you want? Get this. It's got a good little booklet too. Really good value for a highly under-rated artist. As a companion / contrast get the Acoustic Warrior live CD which is great fun and really adds to the Bolan sound.
This compilation is just as good as any other more expensive offering. Highly recommended."

"This is an essential T. Rex collection of original recordings by the original artist Marc Bolan (Beware of Tribute Bands "Mickey Finn's T-Rex" aka "T-Rex (a celebration of Marc and Mickey)". Including so many great songs that are never on other hits collections. If you're just starting to get into T. Rex, I'd start with this one and then get "20th Century Boy: The Ultimate Collection" then "Electric Warrior expanded and remastered" at that point you can gauge by these songs and their time line which of the many full length deluxe 2 cd edition albums you'd most enjoy.
On this collection you get the cream of the crop with greatest hit standards; Telegram Sam, Metal Guru, Children of the Revolution, I Love to Boogie, Born to Boogie, 20th Century Boy.
You also get an amazing collection of lesser knowns that hold their own being as good and sometimes better than the known standards mentioned before. Teenage Dream, New York City, London Boys, Lady, Dandy in the Underworld, Life's an Elevator, All Alone, Celebrate Summer, are true gems that stand out and upon the first listen you can't imagine not having them in your personal record collection.
The tracks, Light of Love, Laser Love, Buick Mackane, Chariot Choogle, are no waste of space on this disc either. The only song I would have saved from this collection is Truck On (Tyke).
Marc Bolan died in September 1977, exactly two weeks before his thirtieth birthday. His achievements in the last seven years of his life included over 20 UK hit singles, 11 of which made the top 10 in less than three years. This compilation features 14 of those singles, along with some celebrated b-sides and album tracks. This cd spans the years of 1972's The Slider through 1977's Dandy in the Underworld.
