CD ReviewsNew sound, still captivating kaluahjeff | Los Angeles, California United States | 01/20/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) "Transistor gives a new edge to TNT's melodic talents. After going on hiatus since the early 90's, they came back into form with this album and it gives hints throughout the album as to what made TNT so popular with their fans the world over. Still great guitar work by LeTekro, and of course the powerful vocals and lyrics from top notch singing sensation Tony Harnell. Songs such as "Just Like God" which opens the album and "No Such Thing" are great songs among the ballads we've all come to love from TNT. Transistor gives a newer rock sound but still shines when it comes to musicianship and you can hear the 80's metal influence in certain tracks, and the whole album is full of upbeat songs that grasp your attention everytime you listen to a TNT album whether it be old or newer. Some may not like it as good as past albums such as (Knights of The New Thunder - Tell No Tales - Intuition). But Transistor is a great TNT album, and definately a great buy whether you're new to TNT or true to their metal roots."
