Grungy fuzzy goodness. Garage rock unleashing wicked riffs and rocking beats. Goes great with a microbrew!
CD Reviews
Grunge doesn't get any heavier than this...

"Those who have the nerve to call all those new bands (3 Doors Down, Nickelback, Alter Bridge...) "grunge" should listen to the mighty Tad and learn what grunge is REALLY all about. Tad puts all those college crybabies to shame and makes them sound like f**king Westlife! Yes, grunge can be massively heavy and those 4 Seattle heavyweights show it, pound for pound, in their best work to date. A solid album, with enough variety to please any hard rock fan. Check out the power of "Grease Box", the punk fury of "Throat Locust", the nice piano touches in "Luminol" (my personal favorite), the crescendo emotion of "Paregoric", the sludgy mayhem of "Pansy" and the great melodic finale of "Gouge".
This is grunge at its very heavy best, this side of Melvins, Alice in Chains and early Soundgarden. Ya can never go wrong with the Tadster...

It's a "Tad" bit heavy.

"This is a pretty sweet, yet forgotten album. "Tad" normally get catagorized as grunge, and though they are, they could also be metal too. In fact it really is more metal, just played by guys wearing flannel. Not alot of smash hits came from this album, but "Grease Box", "Leafy Incline", and "Gouge" are a few of my favorites. "Luminol" has some nice touches too. As a whole though it's a great listen. This was also produced by J Mascis of "Dinosaur Jr." fame, not that it sounds anything like them. Worth checking out if you ever come across it."

"This was one of the greatest records I bought in 1994. Tad was known as that one "metal" band from seattle. Take a listen to the track Grease Box, and try not to get a ticket speeding to the Record Store's dollar-bargin bin! The first time I saw TAD they opened for Alice in Chains, any ways Tad stage dove and nobody caught him. If you didn't know, Tad weighs about 300 pounds. This Cd is so heavy it weighs 10 pounds, and it is produced by J.Mascis-if anybody cares. -Dragoon"

"The opening track, like someone mentioned before, will compel you to drive to your record shop above the speed limit. Never fear: There's plenty of these around because it got MISSED! From the pummelling first track, you realize that these guys have what Metallica was trying to do on Load/ReLoad with the energy that the Metallicats left behind: These tracks smoke, simmer, melt, crank, rock, and the pounding drumming keeps it from getting slow. I'd say the energy in the drums is reminiscent of Season To Risk's 2nd record, and if Martin Bisi has produced this one, the drums would be in the room you're sitting in. Ah, a minor detail: Just crank this sucker!
Highly recommended to Metallica fans, although it's grungier, it could be covered by them.
Tad are one of the greatest overlooked Northwest powerhouse bands and should be in your collection YESTERDAY!"
