"I was browsing in a Catholic store when I heard this CD playing. I have never bought a so-called "religious" CD before (except for classical music) and I think that it is my love of classical music that initially attracted me to this music. This type of singing is a form of prayer which adds to its inspirational qualities. I also find that the repetition/harmony of the choir, the solos, and many of the songs have a soothing and thus, healing quality to them. My favorite tracks are 2) Toi, tu nous aimes/you love us (wonderful and calming for morning and evening reflection) 4) Tui amoris ignem 6) Misericordias Domini 7) Alleluia and 11) Herr, wohin sollen wir gehen? (God, to whom shall we go? - the latter is quite stirring). I also like the fact that the solos are sung in Latin, French, German, and English, etc. You don't have to be "conventionally" religious to admire this CD and the mission of Taize; you only need to have an appreciation of fine music and its spirituality."
