Takenobu offers a mildly techno-type beat infused with orchestral string arrangements, melodic lyrics and voice-work, and inventive compositions that vary wildly yet flow together seamlessly.



This CD is excellent. I stumbled across Takenobu through Pandora and was instantly enamored. I've listened to this CD hundreds of times since I bought it and have never once regretted the purchase. Can't wait for the next CD.

"I too found this CD from hearing "Thursday" on Pandora. There's a lot of folk in here, and some of the smart and sting of Andrew Bird, and a bit of Philip Glass.



Personally I think the only thing better than a lovely rich cello is a cello layered deeper than my knees, like crunchy snow. That's here.



From just the 30-sec previews I counted four or five songs that would each individually inspire me to buy the whole album. POW! Bought.
