unfortunately this album wasn't a commercial success but I think it is one of the best unheard album of the 90's. Real difference between this incarnation and stone temple pilots is that this album is really poppy! Personally I feel this album has better songs than most of their STP albums but less of the heavier rock guitar and more polished pop songs, kinda beatlesque. Songs on this album are a lot more constructed, very polished with big pop hooks. Check out the video for "Hello, Hello", I believe was the first single and will pretty much give you a basic idea how the albums sounds. Only real complaint is Dave Coutts, nothing really against him it's just he isn't Scott Weiland. Maybe it's just me but just prefer him, too bad he couldn't stay out of jail at this time, maybe some of the songs could of ended up STP songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1Ewm1-uhgI

Great album... mix sounds like it is clipping in a few areas

"Talk Show has produced quite an excellent album. The songwriting is well thought out... the performances are tight and professional. The thing that really caught my ear was Dean De Leo's chord voicings... very interesting stuff... ear candy... and not to diminish anyone elses role in on the cd... they all were great. Now...Dave Coutts... is just hands down talented. He can go from raspy rocker... to singing quite like Freddy Mercury... very clean and on pitch through his whole vocal range. The songwriting overall shows a lot of different influences to me... Zeppelin, Beatles... and a bit of King Crimson's first album was a nice touch... as well as chord progressions which reminded me of the Jellyfish. So, with all this great stuff happening on the CD... there seems to be some issues with the mix. Maybe it's just my CD... but the mix in a number of areas is distorted and sounds like it's clipping. Regardless of the mix in a few areas, this albums is really well done... and I really dig listening to it..."
Still Good

"I like it. Dean and Robert Deleo can always write good music no matter if its this guy singing, Scot Weiland, or Robert Patrick."
