"I just got this Japanese remastered reissue and it is stunning. I've loved this album since it's original release in 1974 and I have it in several different issues on vinyl and on cd. This I believe is the first time it has been remastered and the sound quality is exquisite. Extremely clean and clear with deep, well defined bass and excellent imaging. In addition to that, the cover has been finally made available on cd exactly how it was when the album was released on vinyl originally. The artwork, typography and the inside artwork on this gatefold sleeve are exactly as specified originally. Nothing is altered or left out. It is a most spectacular package for one of the best synth albums ever made. Rubycon, (which came afterward) has also been given the same treatment with equally stunning results. Cover art by Monique Froese. Both of these releases are must haves if you have not updated your 1985 released cd's. The Japanese did a super job on the covers. No annoying UPC symbols. No FBI warnings against piracy. Just the entire package as it originally looked. The cd label is a reproduction of the original Virgin label on the vinyl. Beautiful. There is a great sway in prices for this. I got mine from InandOut Records in Austria, an amazon seller and everything arrived just fine.
The cover for Phaedra is a nice satin finish like the original and the cover for Rubycon is glossy just like the original. Very happy to get these."
