"No synthesizers, no overpowering bass or drums. Just beautiful piano work like only Rick Wakeman (and his son) could perform it. This album is a MUST-HAVE for any Rick Wakeman fan or piano enthusiast! The melodies are hauntingly wonderful. Don't miss this one!"

"As they did on ROMANCE OF THE VICTORIAN AGE, Rick & son Adam share writing duties here, taking turns on every other song-- with the exception of "Claire De Lune", which Rick adapted from Claude Debussy. Accompanied with a booklet illustrated with centuries-old woven tapestries, this is overall a very beautiful collection. To my ears, though, not much stands out... oh well! For more piano works (and to me, more impressive ones by far) check out THE CLASSICAL CONNECTION, COUNTRY AIRS, SEA AIRS, NIGHT AIRS and HERITAGE SUITE-- as well as the live set, THE PIANO ALBUM."
