CD ReviewsOlurum Sana is to die for Linnaea Melcarek | Traverse City, Michigan U.S.A. | 05/02/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "Tarkan is my favorite musician right now. I listen to this album all the time, especially the first song, "Simarik". I just never get sick of it, even though I play it over and over! It helps that I know Turkish (though not perfectly) because then I get the little nuances of his insanely sexy lyrics, but you certainly don't need to speak the language to get the message from his wonderfully expressive voice! This album and his other big album "Aacayipsin" are very highly recommended. "Tarkan" is a good album too but if you have "Olurum Sana" and "Aacayipsin" you already have most of the same songs. I can't wait for his new album, coming soon!" Tarkan does it again! Cassandra Lockerman | Pittsburgh, PA United States | 10/27/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "The most beautiful voice I've ever heard, Tarkan fills the world with songs that elicit smiles and shake hips. His terrific beats will make you want to dance and burst out singing even if you don't know one word of Turkish (which I don't). It doesn't matter whether or not you know the language, the music on this CD is worth every penny you spend on it. With his famous singles "Simarik", "Olurum Sana" and "Bu Gece (Kir Zincirlerini)", plus some rarely heard beauties like "Gecenin Urkek Kanatlarinda" (my absolute favorite) and "Ikimizin Yerine", this is a must-buy. The only thing it's missing is "Sikidim". If you simply want to be introduced into the underrated world of Turkish music, or if you can't get enough of this wonder named Tarkan, YOU MUST BUY THIS CD! It's definitely worth the money and the wait!!!" Que rico es Tarkan! Victoria Weber | 11/29/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "The first time I saw or heard of Tarkan was on the 1999 World Music Awards. At first I was very asumed and thought a Turkish Ricky Martin, but after seeing his looks and the way he danced...I was just captivated! And now I'm hooked with Simarik, Bu Gece, Olurum Sana. This is one of the best CD's I ever had. You must buy it. It's absolutely great!"
