A Sanctified Tribute of...

"I listened to this one quite a few times before I actually picked it up, nervous that it would end up on my list of "CDs I Bought Because One Song Sounded Good." It was recommended by Michael W. Smith, but this was released by his label (Rocketown Records), so his recommendation didn't carry much weight. I always find it kind of laughable that Christian labels feel the need to compare themselves to secular groups - this one, for instance, claimed that is was appropriate "For fans of U2 or Coldplay". That's nice...that way Christian bands will always be regarded as sanctified tribute bands. If, by the way, you are going to sound like one of the most successful bands of all time (like U2), you better be good. I played this at various functions and almost everyone with an ear for music asked "Is this U2?" Yes, he sounds like U2. No, it's not as good as U2, but U2 aside, it's not a bad disc. Recommended for fans of U2? I'm not sure. It might be better for people that haven't realized that they're fans of U2 - that way they'll avoid the comparison altogether. I hope that Taylor's disc does well - the writing is good, the songs are well-produced, and several of the songs even deserve a listen from Bono himself. For a man that finds himself in conflict with a band that went into the woods a band that loved God and came out a rock band (as U2 did) - this is the perfect reconciliation."
Incredible, awesome CD

"I bought this CD on another web site because there were selling it for 1 cent! Turns out it is the BEST CD I have bought in years. For those of you old enough to remember World Party (Put The Message In The Box), Taylor reminds me of them only better. The song writing is excellent, his vocals fantastic and the music great.I agree with the other reviewer that it's only a matter of time before Taylor is a "big name" in the music industry and he could easily be a "cross over" into the secular music world. I hope he is because his music is that good and his message is worth hearing. The best songs are the first and the last ones. The last one "Sing (Or The Rocks Will Get To)" stuck in my head for weeks but unlike when you get a song in your head you hate, this was fabulous. But this CD!"
A must Buy!!

"This cd is flat out amazing. If you bought Taylor's cd The fill and liked it, I will asure you will love The Overflow. I actually just got back from a concert he put on in Indiana and he is that much more awesome in concert. Taylor is the most talented young artist out there right now. You are hearing it here first, Taylor Sorenson will be the next "big name" in music. He is very talented and his vocals are like none you have heard. Buy this CD, it's a must!!"
