Closest re-recordings of 1940s Swing!

"When my brother and I were kids in the 70s, our dad let us use his old reel to reel tape machine. He had both volumes 1 and 2 of this on tape. The sound quality was very good and before we knew it we really enjoyed these songs. These are very good re-recordings of 1940s music recorded in 1968 and 69. The brass, winds, string bass, guitar, piano and drums are recorded very well, loud and clear! If you like this music and want high quality recordings that are very close to the original arrangements, I would recommend buying this disc. The sound is as fantastic as I remember from the open reel tapes."
