"For those of you that like a little bit of the old school and new school you dont have to look any further but to this soundtrack to Love and Basketball a great mixture of old school r&b tracks from the great Al Green 's Love and Happiness to the Butter smooth Sweet Thing by Rufus and Chaka Khan still one of my personal favorite tunes from back in the day .. Still does something to me everytime i hear it.. The early days of New Jack I Like- Guy is represented here as well .. To the new school Angie Stone's unforgettable soulful rendition Of Simply Red's Holding Back The years .. Donell Jones smooth I'll Go .. To the Supergroup Lucy Pearl Dance Tonight which is truly the best cut of the newer material.. Having people really anticipating their debut album.. A little bit of the old school hip hop is well represented here with two classic tracks It Takes Two from Rob Base and Ez Rock and MC Lyte's Lyte As A Rock.. also with good efforts Bilal , Black Eyed Peas.. This is really a great soundtrack.. it's a must to any one's collection that likes a little of both worlds..Old School and New School.. To those who wondering about that song that is played during the love scene between Epps/Lathan in the movie.. The song is called A Women's Work performed by Maxwell and it can be found on his Live Unplugged CD.. The only minor criticsm i have is that track that is mentioned and New Edition's Candy Girl wasnt included in the soundtrack other than that this is truly great stuff here"

"I love the songs - new & old school, espicially Angie Stone's "Holding Back the Years" (Old Simply Red). I really love the Me'Shell Ndegeocello song (Fool of Me) on the cd. I mainly bought the cd for the love song (the one played duringthe lead characters first love scene). It sounds like Maxwell, but it's nowhere to be found on the cd - what's up with that? Otherwise, a great selection."

"The Maxwell song that everyone is asking about is called "This Woman's Work" by Kate Bush. It can be found on his Unplugged CD. It's also on a Felicity soundtrack and the soundtrack for "She's Having a Baby." I love that song, too, and was disappointed it wasn't on the soundtrack. Hope this helps you find it."
Where's the rest...

"I like the soundtrack, but I was a little disappointed. The main reason I bought the CD was for the song thats being played while Quincy and Monica are in College after the Dick Vitale scene. I really want that song and I can't find it, I think that terrence blanchard should have put it on the soundtrack, The credits says that It is Hinda Hicks and the song is Our Destiny, but I can't find it. Also, He left the best songs out of it including Maxwell, New Edition, Johnny Kemp, Bobby Brown, Herb Alberts-Making love in the Rain. Really What's up wit that. If your going to make a soundtrack-please do it right. I bet this soundtrack would have been and stayed #1 forever if all of the songs were on it or atleast help us find the songs."
