"I picked up this disc to review for my college radio station. 98% of the stuff we get is mediocre at best, and after the 5th record you start to get jaded. But something about this disc stood out to me. The production is old-school and laid-back but still feels intense and engaging. But it's Thaione Davis' delivery that makes this record, this man's flow is unbelievable. His rhymes are solid, but his flow just doesn't stop, it hits you from all sides, sinks into the background and comes back at you. It's unfortunate that there are only 8 tracks on this disc, but almost all the tracks are over 4 minutes long, so it serves as an adaequate appetizer for now."
