"Already established in Latin America, Asia and Southern Europe, Thalia is now about to conquer the USA with her latest album "Arrasando"!
The pretty entertainer with the pleasant and jolly voice is produced by no less a person than Emilio Estefan (Miami Sound Machine, husband and discoverer of Gloria Estefan, producer of artists such as Ricky Martin,Shakira, Jennifer Lopez etc.) Compared to her 1997 release "Amor a la Mexicana" "Arrasando" also contains the typical Salsa ingredients, that greatly underline the "fire" of the sympathetic Mexican singer, but does, all in all, sound a little more "international". The album covers a broad range of musical styles from dance to rap, also containing a couple ballads. Most of the songs are contributed by the artist herself!
Her first single release "Entre El Mar Y Una Estrella" (engl. "Between the sea and a star"), a beautiful mid-tempo ballad, dedicated to Thalia's deceased friend, made it to the top of Billboard's latin charts and promises to become a huge hit everywhere else, if released!
Altogether "Arrasando" is a very vicacious album and contains a little something for every taste! And for everyone who might be interested in my personal opinion as a fan:
AWESOME! Thalia's best album so far, although you just gotta love all her albums! I would be very glad to see her expand her worldwide potential to become totally continental!"

An Excellent Album You'd Best Not Walk Past...

"I have to let you know, I bought this album back in September 2002 after becoming a fan after buying 2002's THALIA and 1997's AMOR A LA MEXICANA; along with Alanis's UNDER RUG SWEPT, the 3 most listened to CDs of that year.
However, after giving this album a quick run-through, I quickly decided it was chock-full of filler except for the lead-in four tracks. Something made me pick this CD back up in March and all of a sudden QUIERO AMARTE jumped out at me! I loved the song! It was like a new single for me, and SUERTE EN MI I began to appreciate very much as well.ENTRE EL MAR Y UNA ESTRELLA-A soaring ballad with beautiful lyrics. Just one big heaping spoonful of beauty. Check out the video. The video too is beautiful.REGRESA A MI-A good danceable ballad. Worth listening to definitely during each listen of the CD. She wrote this one.REENCARNACION-Excellent dance record. Any remixes of this would surely make you hit the floor. Haunting lyrics. She wrote this too, probably about either her father or Alfredo Diaz.ARRASANDO-An excellent party record about "sweeping" our way into the new millenium carrying the ideas and inspiration of some of our last millenium's greatest people, including Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. No way you can skip this song when listening to the disc.NO HAY QUE LLORAR-No need to listen to this track. Not very good at all. A definite skipper for this listener.QUIERO AMARTE-A cool rap/hip-poppy song on the disc. Probably the most addictive track on the disc. Just such a cool song.SUERTE EN MI/LUCKY GIRL-What a fast song! Her voice is amazing on this track! A must-listen! You can tell she really had fun with this one, her spanish cover of Gloria Estefan's 1998 album track LUCKY GIRL.MENTA Y CANELA-An interesting, pleasant, sexy song. Nice to listen to. Good piece of ear candy. She wrote this one.TUMBA LA CASA-This one will definitely knock your house if you blast in on your stereo. Comparable to the title track in style and presentation. Great track!PATA PATA-An interesting cover of a Brazilian classic. Really cute song.SIEMPRE HAY CARINO-A nice slow-moving song on the disc. Quite a pleasant song.ROSALINDA-Another pleasant song, also the theme to Thalia's telenovela of the same. A great conclusion to the disc, though the 2001 version on her banda remixes album is far better. All in all, a great disc from Thalia you should pick up, especially if you are becoming really interested in her. Though not as good as 1997's AMOR A LA MEXICANA or 2002's THALIA, it is still up there with them as well as 1995's EN EXTASIS and her early 90's rock anthems.By the way, let's keep our fingers crossed she isn't self-titling her 2003 crossover CD too! With 1990's THALIA and 2002's THALIA, what is doing, playing a game with our heads...self-titling an album for the third time!"

"Thalia's new cd is the best. As a true Thalia fan I can say that this is the best in her collection. The songs have a superb sound. Great beats, and very well writen songs. Of course most of them were written by Thalia. Truly a magnificante album. I recommend it to every one."
